Modified Sinewave Inverters

An inverter is a device that takes the power from your DC battery source to household AC electricity giving you the power to run appliances such as televisions, lights, computers, and power tools wherever you may be. Simply, an inverter increases your 12 / 24 volt battery power to 230V AC power.

There are two forms of output generated by an Inverter:

• Pure Sinewave - For inverters of this type see Cotek Inverters
• Modified Sinewave - For inverters of this type see Genius Inverters below

Modified sinewave are ideal to run small scale appliances and equipment such as power tools, non-digital microwave ovens, low energy incandescent lights and some pc's and laptops.

The size inverter you require depends on what you wish to operate. An 800W drill for example will require an inverter with an output of at least 800 watts rated output.

Do not overstate the size of inverter you require. Running a 100W bulb through a 1500W inverter will take more power from your battery than running it through a 150W inverter.

The lifespan of your battery is prolonged by :

• Low battery alarm and shutdown to protect deep discharge from the battery;
• High battery shutdown to protect from overload;

Built in protection features include :

• High temperature alarm and shutdown
• Short circuit protection.
• Shutdown when the power demand from the appliances exceeds the inverter limit
• Earth point to casing & AC output for safe useage (please note instruction manual)
• Removable UK plug socket adaptor for inverter
