SUNNY BOY GRID CONNECT INVERTERS
Sunny Boy grid connected solar (Photovoltaic) inverters are incredibly popular and have a wide range of features that makes them attractive for use in solar PV systems.
All Sunny boy inverters comply with UK G83/1 grid connection regulations
and are supplied complete with a full 5 year warranty
Sunny Boy inverters are available in a wide range of sizes and designed to be easy to install.
In the event of loss of electricity or other malfunction the inverters will automatically shut down.
In solar PV applications the Sunny Boy inverter will automatically adjust the solar PV array loading to provide maximum efficiency of solar panels by means of a maximal power point tracker (MPPT).
The Sunny Island inverter is a super piece of technology. It is at the heart of of a standalone power system on the AC side as it can communicate with different power sources such as solar PV modules or arrays, wind generators. It can create its own electricity grid and can be used as a UPS power system for unreliable networks. This modular approach can be used in single or three phase systems with up to 9 inverters can be run in parallel.

What are Multi-String Inverters?
A Sunny Boy Multi-String inverter can utilise the output of two solar generators. Different geographical alignments and module types can also be dealt with simply, e.g. shadowing or partial shadowing, varying numbers of modules per string, or different solar cell types.

In addition, they have a maximum flexibility for configuring the grid connections in order to ensure a trouble free installation and operation, even under the worst utility conditions.
Sturdy - All Sunny Boys (except for the Sunny Boy 2800i) are equipped with a waterproof and dust resistant enclosure made of aluminium or stainless steel. This protects the electronics and lets you install the Sunny Boy wherever you want–inside or outside.
Easy to Use - All Sunny Boy inverters are shipped with weatherproof plug connectors for both AC and DC connection. This reduces installation costs.
Flexible - Sunny Boy inverters are suitable for small PV-plants with 400 Wp as well as for large plants in the megawatt range. More than 15 years of experience with grid interactive plants and references all over the globe prove this.
Support - The Sunny Boy Hotline will assist you from the very beginning, this starts with your first plans to install a PV-system. The hotline will assist you with the installation of your plant as well as with the connection to the utility. And in case your Sunny Boy should show signs of failure: SMA will send you an exchange device within 24 hours.
Warranty - All Sunny Boys are shipped with a 2 year warranty. The warranty can be extended to 5 years upon customer request. After the warranty period SMA offers inexpensive lump sum repair service. This lets you keep track of your budget.
Plant Sizing - The plant sizing tool "GenAu" is available free of charge at our website www.SMA.de. You can use it for planning and checking your PV-plant as well as for selecting the Sunny Boy suited best for you. GenAu supports all SMA inverters as well as all known module types.
